Many files on this site are in PDF format. A program called Acrobat Reader (we recommend updating to version 5.0) must be downloaded and installed on your computer before PDF files can be viewed.
    1. Click here to download Acrobat Reader.
    2. Close your browser and disconnect from the Internet.
    3. Execute the program by double-clicking the EXE file you just downloaded.
    4. Follow the setup instructions on the screen.
  • Saving PDF Files
Simply right click on the PDF file that you want to download, and chose Save Target As (Internet Explorer) or Save Link As (Netscape), select file destination. Once it is saved you may open it in Acrobat Reader.
  • Opening PDF Files in your browser window
Simply double-click on the PDF file and it should open in Acrobat Reader, within your browser window.
  • Copying Text from PDF File and Pasting into Word
If a PDF file is unlocked you may extract text, if it is locked for security reasons, the following procedure will not work.

After PDF file has been downloaded to your system open it in Acrobat Reader. To select text choose Edit/Select All or select portions of text using the text selection tool to highlight desired text, choose Edit/Copy. Open Word document, select Edit/Paste and the text should appear.

A bit about download times...
Download times vary on the Internet depending on your access service, net traffic and modem speed. A general rule of thumb to estimate the download time of a file is: at 28.8 KBps, ~ 5 min/MB, and at 14.4 KBps, ~10 min/MB.
